University of Westminster Overview

The University of Westminster, established from the Royal Polytechnic in 1838, operates across four campuses, three of which are located in central London. Hosting over 19,000 students from more than 160 countries, Westminster offers a wide range of programmes, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses, tailored professional programmes, and short courses.

Westminster's subjects have a strong vocational focus, with longer modules that integrate work-based skills and practical activities. Undergraduates have the opportunity to conduct research during their degrees. The university is renowned for its media studies and fashion degrees, both highly rated globally. Celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2013, Westminster continues to invest significantly in its facilities, from student accommodation to the restoration of one of Britain's first cinemas on the Regent Campus.

Foundation Courses at Westminster

The University of Westminster partners with Kaplan International College London to provide foundation courses for international students and has progression agreements with several other foundation providers.

Additionally, Westminster offers a variety of in-house foundation programmes for students familiar with the UK education system who do not require additional English language support or adjustment to UK life.
