  • Share Code (if you are not a British Citizen)
  • Transcript of your qualifications (if you have any)
  • Graduation certificate (Compulsory for most, but not all courses)

  • Personal statement
  • Proof of address
  • CV

Personal statement

Your personal statement is a crucial component of your university application, allowing you to showcase your passion, skills, and understanding of your chosen field of study. Typically ranging from 400 to 600 words (approximately one typed A4 page), this essay provides an opportunity to elaborate on the experiences mentioned in your CV and demonstrate why you are an excellent candidate for a specific course and university.

When writing your personal statement, consider discussing your motivations for pursuing higher education, your aspirations and goals related to your chosen degree, and any relevant personal skills or achievements that highlight your suitability for the program. By effectively communicating your unique qualities and experiences, you can make a strong case for your admission to the university.

CV Checklist:

  • Education Qualifications
  • Job history (particularly highlighting jobs relevant to your course of study)
  • Contact Information
  • Extra-Curricular interests
  • Skills and Strengths

When preparing your CV for a university application, aim to keep it concise and relevant, limiting the content to no more than two pages. Focus on highlighting your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, internships, and any other experiences that demonstrate your skills and suitability for your chosen course of study.

Remember, both your personal statement and CV should be tailored to the specific university and program you are applying to, emphasizing the qualities and experiences that align with their requirements and values.
